    Dealer Notes

Theres something undeniably refreshing about a vehicle that understands the rhythms of the Pacific Northwest. The 2024 Ford Maverick XL, dressed in rugged-yet-cool Cactus Gray, is more than a compact pickup its a practical companion for those who appreciate purpose, utility, and an eye for efficiency. Whether you're navigating the morning mist of Portland's side streets or heading out toward the Olympic Peninsula for a long weekend escape, the Maverick delivers the kind of balanced performance and adaptability that suits life here beautifully.

Powered by a turbocharged EcoBoost 2.0L I4 engine, the Maverick offers spirited acceleration and seamless cruising thanks to its 8-speed automatic transmission. With an EPA-estimated 30 mpg on the highway and 23 mpg in the city, it's built to go farther with fewer fuel stops ideal for those who straddle both the urban and rural stretches of the region. The front-wheel drive setup keeps it agile and efficient, while its lighter footprint makes it nimble enough for Seattle's tighter parking spots and agile enough for Eugenes scenic detours.

The Maverick's interior is laid-back and approachable, featuring Black Onyx cloth bucket seats that strike a clean balance between comfort and durability. Theres an understated utility in the way everything is arranged from the telescoping steering wheel and steering wheel-mounted audio controls to the smartly integrated infotainment system with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and USB ports. Whether you're commuting to Tacoma or headed toward the Cascades with your gear in the bed, the Maverick keeps your tech connected and your ride intuitive.

Safety and peace of mind aren't optional in the Northwest, where weather and winding roads are part of daily life. This Maverick comes equipped with Ford Co-Pilot360, which includes the BLIS Blind Spot Information System with Cross-Traffic Alert, a Lane-Keeping System, and a rearview camera all essential features for navigating foggy forest roads or crowded Friday ferries with confidence. The Auto High-Beam Headlights and Fully Automatic Headlights adapt as daylight fades across mountain passes or coastal curves, ensuring you're never caught off guard.

Outside, the steel wheels with Sparkle Silver painted covers and the unmistakable Cactus Gray finish make this Maverick stand out without trying too hard like a favorite flannel shirt that works whether youre headed to brunch in Bellingham or trailhead-bound before sunrise. Its subtle, cool, and built with a sense of purpose.

With only 45,231 miles and a CARFAX One-Owner history, this 2024 Ford Maverick XL represents a smart move for drivers who value versatility, modern tech, and solid mileage. Its ideal for those who need a little more room than a crossover offers, but want something more manageableand more fuel-efficientthan a full-size truck. If your adventures are as diverse as the PNWs landscapes, and if your days range from office runs to orchard visits, this Maverick is ready to meet you where you are.

Simple. Capable. Perfectly suited to the Northwest.

    • A solid choice

I’ve had my Lariat for 6 months now and I am happy with it. Although the entry models are very well priced for a brand new vehicle, I chose the Lariat without any upgrade packages as the XL & XLT do not have the current “luxuries” that most would consider standard in a new vehicle. (Push start, dash screen, “leather” seats) The Maverick is the perfect vehicle to suit work and everyday life without breaking the bank. Pros: well priced, well designed interior with ample storage, good on gas, comfortable seats, strong engine, great handling and overall feel without the overbearing ride and size of a truck. Cons: engine auto stop/start cannot be permanently disengaged, sync/bluetooth system can be glitchy on occasion, wind noise at highway speed is noticeable, adding extras to your build can get very pricey.
    • If you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90's

It took me a year, but this past summer my Ford Maverick finally came in. I got the XLT trim with only 2 options, the Blind Spot and the 2.0 Eco Boost engine for more power. So far, it has been a great truck. If I watch my rpm.s, in the econ mode I get 30 mpg around town and on the hwy. The only issue so far is a clicking type rattle in my dash that only happens on certain slow bumps in my neighborhood, once I am on the highway it goes away. Strange. Anyway, if you miss the Ford Rangers from the 90s, this truck reminds me of a 1996 Ranger I used to have back then. It is a very solid truck, loads of room in the cabin, great bed to work with, and since it is front wheel drive I am looking fwd to seeing how it does in the snow this winter. If you order one, get the Lariat, for a few thousand more it is worth it. Hope this review helps ! PS, I was thinking of ordering a 2023 Ford Bronco 2 door, but when I sat in one at a local car show, I realized my Maverick was much more roomier and comfortable than the full size Bronco. I will stick with my Maverick !

Reviewed my 22 lariat AWD last year when I’d had it for 2 days gave it a 4 star after owning it 18 months and 29K miles I’d raise my satisfaction rate to 4.7 stars. Great milage averaging 33mpg. Like it so much bought the wife a slightly used 23 lariat hybrid. Like it even better than the AWD after 4K and 1 month ownership averaging 46mpg that’s 75% highway. Pros: mileage on either hybrid or AWD model, ride is not too bad, fells planted to road, adaptive cruise/ lane keep/ aeb braking. Easy to park Cons: no power passenger seat, no fog lights, door pockets are worthless can’t keep travel mug or bottled water in as they won’t fit, ice scraper falls out every time open or close door. no auto dimming rear view mirror, bed leaks with installed cover, not enough room to adjust power seat with door closed. If Ford would fix a few minor things they’d have the perfect truck.
