2023 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD adventure-ready refinement for the Pacific Northwest

With just over 21,000 miles and a clean CARFAX history, this 2023 Ford Explorer XLT 4WD in Carbonized Gray Metallic is the perfect companion for life between misty coastlines and forested mountain passes. Whether you're towing a fishing boat from Anacortes to the San Juans or navigating downtown Seattle's rain-slick streets, the 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and intelligent 4WD deliver smooth power and confident traction at every turn.

Slide into the cabin and discover a thoughtful blend of comfort and versatility. Unique cloth captains chairs with heating in both front and second rows cradle you on early-morning ferry runs to Bainbridge Island, while third-row seating ensures room for friends, family, or the pups on weekend camping escapes to Olympic National Park. Dual-zone climate control and heated front seats keep everyone cozy, whether youre cruising the slick roads of Interstate 5 or chasing sunrise along the Columbia River Gorge.

Technology keeps you seamlessly connected to both the road and your world. SYNC 3 with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration brings your favorite playlists, podcasts, and navigation to the 8-inch touchscreen. Hands-free power liftgate and remote keyless entry simplify loading gear after a rainy hike in the Cascades, and the exterior parking camera with reverse sensing makes tight lot maneuvers effortless in crowded trailhead parking areas.

When its time to tow kayaks, trailers, or small campers, the Class IV trailer tow package and integrated hitch receiver stand ready. Power driver and passenger seats, a telescoping steering wheel, and steering-wheel-mounted controls put every command right where you need it, while 18-inch silver-painted wheels and fully automatic headlights add both style and function on coastal highways and forest roads alike.

Rear air conditioning and multiple USB ports ensure every passenger stays refreshed and charged on long highway runs to Bend or day trips to Cannon Beach. The result is an SUV that feels at home in both urban corridors and wild backcountry alikeready to ferry school carpools in Bellevue one day and carry kayaks to Hood Canal the next.

Engineered for reliability and equipped for the regions unpredictable weather, this Ford Explorer XLT delivers confidence, comfort, and capability wherever Pacific Northwest life takes you. From ferry terminals to mountaintop vistas, its your ticket to exploration, family adventures, and everyday journeys with a touch of style.

Transmission broke at 17000 took 3 months to get parts for rebuild, defrost strips coming off rear glass, replaced , fix rear camera twice, cracked catalytic converter left side, be nice car if I could keep it out of shop. So warranty has covered everything. Fun to drive, impressed with performance.
    • Another hacked together vehicle at a high cost

Started with paneling popping off at Less than 5k miles, then the window became stuck in the down position, 2 hours at the dealer from them to just get it back up and tell us the post won’t be in for awhile, now the radio isn’t working. Every mechanical malfunction came with Parts that were scorching hot to the touch when trying to troubleshoot. It’s at 11500 miles, owned since March and have regretted it since.
    • 3rd Explorer and still happy

This is my third Explorer and I still love it. I drive about 25,000 a year with a heavy foot and typically drive my cars to the ground. In 4 months I’ve owned it, I already put 12,000 miles and fortunately zero issues, it’s swerving capabilities are still good, I enjoy the assisted driving, the sound from the speakers are clean and clear. It’s actually pretty quiet.
